Overview
Deliver scalable, room-by-room hi-res audio distribution for commercial AV, security monitoring, and multi-zone residential projects with the Russound 1550-853838 16-Channel Matrix Pre-Amplifier with Streamer. As a versatile HDMI Matrix Switches-class solution, it centralizes source routing and control so integrators can manage music, announcements and surveillance audio feeds from a single chassis. Support for up to 16 stereo inputs — any combination of analog, six optical or four coax digital — and 16 stereo line-level outputs gives installers maximum connectivity for local sources, network streamers and TV audio via the HDMI (ARC) input. The built-in hi-res audio streamer and integrated DSP with a 7-band parametric EQ and Russound speaker presets streamline tuning and reduce commissioning time. Scalable to 96 zones, the SMZ16-PRE adapts from boutique retail and hospitality to enterprise security and monitoring systems, while IP networking and control compatibility simplifies integration with third-party automation and surveillance platforms. For integrators who need reliable, high-fidelity audio distribution that enhances AV and security workflows, the Russound 1550-853838 is a turnkey choice.
