Overview
Ensure continuous communication and dependable performance for security and surveillance installations with the Alpha Communications 18/2 Stranded BC Multipair Cable. Designed for life-safety and monitoring applications, this multipair cable combines flexible 18 AWG stranded bare copper conductors with a low-smoke zero halogen (LSZH) jacket and flame-retardant tape to protect voice, alarm and data paths. The cable is 2-hour fire-rated to maintain circuit integrity during emergency conditions, and the 1000' coil reduces the need for splices on long runs, saving time and lowering failure points. The bright red jacket simplifies identification in dense cable bundles, while LSZH construction minimizes toxic fumes—an important consideration for high-occupancy buildings and secure facilities. Ideal for intercoms, access control, CCTV audio, and alarm systems, this Alpha Communications multipair cable balances safety, reliability and ease of installation. Choose this fire-rated, low-smoke cable for critical monitoring and security projects—order a coil for your next installation or retrofit.
