Overview
When uptime and code compliance matter, the Genesis 18/2 stranded fire alarm cable provides reliable performance for fire, security and monitoring systems. This Genesis FPL unshielded cable is engineered for long outdoor runs — the direct-burial, sunlight-resistant PVC jacket and SRPVC insulation protect conductors from the elements while eliminating unnecessary conduit in many applications. The 18 AWG stranded bare copper conductors deliver consistent low-voltage signaling over distance, and the cable’s FPL/CL3 ratings support commercial fire alarm installations. Supplied on a 500' (152.4 m) reel with countdown length markings and a built-in rip cord, this cable speeds pulls and simplifies jobsite logistics. UL-listed, RoHS/REACH compliant and Made in the USA, it’s a practical choice for contractors installing fire alarm, security, access control and surveillance wiring. Choose Genesis 41565008 for durable, code-ready runs that keep monitoring and emergency systems dependable — ideal for new builds, retrofits and outdoor backbone feeds.
