Overview
Built for reliable, high-impact audio in commercial and security-conscious environments, the Bose Professional DesignMax DM8C in-ceiling speaker delivers room-filling sound and clear speech for foreground music, paging and monitoring applications. The DM8C pairs a powerful 150W RMS amplifier capacity with an 8-inch woofer and a center-mounted 1-inch compression driver to reproduce a broad frequency range (down to the low 50s Hz up to 20 kHz) with 91 dB sensitivity — ensuring intelligible announcements and musical detail in large venues. Installers benefit from the patented QuickHold mounting system, plenum-rated backcan, Euroblock connectors and tile bridges that cut installation time and simplify service. For projects that demand tuned performance, integrate with Bose DSPs and amplifiers to apply loudspeaker EQ and SmartBass processing. The low-profile grille and removable logo keep aesthetics clean for hotels, retail, convention centers, and combined AV/security or surveillance systems.
