Overview
Get dependable outdoor temperature monitoring that improves humidifier performance and overall environmental control. The Aprilaire 8052 outdoor temperature sensor supplies precise outside-air readings to Aprilaire 560 Series humidifiers, enabling the system's automatic control to maintain consistent indoor humidity, reduce cycling, and protect sensitive equipment. By feeding accurate outdoor temperature data (Model 8052) into your humidifier control, you achieve better energy efficiency and avoid over- or under-humidification in both commercial and residential installations.
Built for straightforward integration, this outdoor sensor pairs with the 560 Series and works alongside manual mode resistor option (part number 4336) when needed. The black, weather-resistant housing is suited for durable outdoor installation and supports facility-level environmental monitoring—useful for server rooms, security and surveillance equipment areas, and other spaces where controlled humidity matters. Professional installation by an Aprilaire dealer is recommended to ensure proper wiring and optimal performance. Add the Aprilaire 8052 to your HVAC setup to improve humidity control and protect critical systems—contact your Aprilaire dealer to order and install today.
