Overview
Designed for dependable portable power, the Belden 8478 18-2 stranded BC portable cordage delivers rugged, flexible performance for security, surveillance and field monitoring applications. This UL Type SJ-rated cable combines flexible 18-2 stranded bare copper conductors with durable EPDM insulation and a rubber outer jacket to withstand abrasion, oil exposure and outdoor conditions — reducing failures and service calls. The 250' reel gives technicians long runs without frequent splicing, simplifying installs for cameras, access control equipment, temporary lighting and other on-site power needs.
Installers benefit from the cable's easy handling and bend radius, which speeds routing through trays and conduit while protecting connectors from strain. The black jacket provides a discreet appearance for visible runs in commercial and industrial environments. Engineered by Belden for professional applications, this portable cordage balances safety, flexibility and durability to support critical security and monitoring systems. Order the 250' reel to streamline installations and keep surveillance and monitoring equipment powered reliably on the job.
