Overview
Designed for fast, code-compliant deployment in commercial, retail and security environments, the Bogen CSD1X2VRU drop-in ceiling speaker delivers reliable voice paging and background audio where intelligibility matters. The enclosed back can and plenum-rated construction (UL2043) simplify installation in HVAC plenums and meet fire/smoke requirements for professional AV and security systems. With an 8" main cone and a 2-way design, this speaker reproduces clear speech up to 20 kHz, making it ideal for monitoring, surveillance announcement zones and public address systems.
Built-in 70V/25V transformer and selectable rotary taps (4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4W) give integrators precise coverage control across multiple zones without extra hardware. The front-mounted recessed volume control (VR) lets facility staff fine-tune levels locally while the seismic attachment point and fully enclosed steel construction enhance durability in busy installations. Whether you’re installing paging for security, retail background music, or monitoring stations, the CSD1X2VRU minimizes downtime and provides consistent, intelligible audio. Contact us for volume discounts or add it to your next AV/security system procurement.
