Overview
Deploy reliable, cable-free access control where running cable is impractical. The Cypress SPX-5632 Enhanced Wireless Reader Extender (Dual Reader version) lets you connect two readers wirelessly to a Wiegand access control panel, eliminating trenching across streets, parking areas or damaged conduit. Designed for security integrators and facilities teams, the SPX-5632 delivers up to 1 mile (1.6 km) line-of-sight range with an omnidirectional antenna while supporting common reader interfaces—Wiegand, Wiegand keypad and strobed magstripe—so it fits existing surveillance and monitoring architectures with minimal changes.
Built for outdoor deployments, both Central and Remote units ship in IP65 ABS enclosures and offer supervised communications plus four dry-contact relays per unit for alarm and gate control integration. The preconfigured pair supports two readers immediately and can be expanded using EXP-2000 expansion pairs to connect additional devices. Use the SPX-5632 to retain security system functionality, reduce installation time and lower total project cost.
Ideal for parking lots, campus gates, remote entrances and perimeter monitoring — contact your rep to specify the Cypress SPX-5632 for your next secure access control installation.
